    How to choose an Italian mocha coffee maker?

    The Moka pot is divided into two parts, the upper pot and the lower pot, connected by a tube in the middle.After the water boils, it is converted into water vapor, and the pressure on the water surface increases. The boiling water will pass through the powder trough containing the coffee powder, and then spray from the pipe into the upper part of the pot.
    1. Moka pot material
    ①About the advantages and disadvantages of aluminum material:
    Advantages: Aluminum products are generally less expensive, lightweight, have high thermal conductivity, and will extract faster.
    Disadvantages: Aluminum rusts easily, so care should be taken to prevent moisture during maintenance. For example, it is not suitable to soak for a long time during cleaning. Only open flames or electric ceramic stoves can be used as heating methods. Aluminum Moka pots have no electromagnetic induction and cannot be used on induction cookers.
    ②About the advantages and disadvantages of steel material:
    Advantages: easy to clean, not easy to rust, more convenient to maintain, can use induction cooker, open flame and electric ceramic stove as heating methods.
    Disadvantages: The price is slightly higher, and due to the difficulty in manufacturing, there are fewer types of steel Moka pots.
    2. Moka pot heating method.
    The heating method of the Moka pot mainly depends on the material of the lower pot. The aluminum lower pot can only be used on open flames or electric ceramic stoves, while the steel lower pot can be used on induction cookers, open flames and electric ceramic stoves.
    3. How to choose the appropriate cup size for a Moka pot.
    The capacity of one cup of single valve is about 30ml, and the capacity of one cup of double valve is also about 30ml. If it is 2 cups, it is *2, that is, 2 cups has about 60-70ml of espresso, and so on. It is recommended to consider a slightly larger size when choosing, for example: 1-2 people choose 2 cups or 3 cups, 2-3 people choose 4 cups or 6 cups.
    4. How to clean a Moka pot.
    Just use clean water to clean the Moka pot. Do not put it in the dishwasher, because chemical detergents will cause irreversible damage to the coating on the surface of the Moka pot, affecting subsequent use. If there is coffee grease on the inner wall, wipe it clean with kitchen paper.
    5. Should I buy a Moka pot with a single valve or a double valve?
    If you want to achieve a convenient, fast and stable cup of espresso when using a Moka pot, you can choose a single valve. Because the pressure is relatively low, it is not easy to over-extract.
    But if you like the feeling of crema, want the coffee liquid to be richer in oil, and are willing to put some thought into preventing over-extraction when brewing coffee, you can buy a double valve. For example, preparing hot water in advance can shorten the liquid discharging time, which can better avoid over-extraction and reduce the burnt and bitter taste. For another example, if you prepare to roast darker coffee beans, more carbon dioxide will be released, and the crema will be richer.
    So it depends on what your acceptable threshold is. If you just want to simply drink milk coffee, froth milk, and make a latte, a single-valve Moka pot will satisfy you..
