How to open a stainless steel pot

As a common piece of equipment in modern kitchens, stainless steel pots are popular for their durability, ease of cleaning and aesthetics. However, the newly purchased pot needs to be opened before use to ensure its service life and cooking effect. The following will introduce how to open a stainless steel pot.

1. Prepare tools and materials

You need to prepare the following tools and materials before starting the pot:

1. Stainless steel pot

2. Dishwashing liquid

3. Clear water

4. Clean cloth

5. Edible oil (such as vegetable oil or animal oil)

2. Clean the pot body

New pots may contain some impurities and residues, so they need to be cleaned first. Put the stainless steel pot into the sink, add an appropriate amount of detergent, and rinse with clean water. Be careful not to use hard objects such as iron brushes to clean the pot to avoid scratching the pot body.

3. Wipe dry the water

After cleaning, wipe the pot dry with a clean cloth to make sure there is no residual moisture.

4. Apply cooking oil

After the pan is completely dry, apply a thin layer of cooking oil. This layer of oil can protect the pot body and make subsequent cooking smoother.

5. Heating and drying

After applying cooking oil, place the stainless steel pot on the stove and heat over low heat. Be careful not to use high heat to avoid overheating the oil and causing smoke. During the heating process, you can gently wipe the pot body with a clean cloth to allow the oil to better penetrate into the pot body.

6. Apply cooking oil again after cooling

After heating for a period of time, let the pot cool down naturally. Once cool, apply a thin layer of cooking oil again and leave overnight. This can increase the lubrication of the pot and make it more durable.

7. Clean and use normally

After leaving it overnight, clean the pot body with clean water again, and then it can be used normally. The pot body that has been boiled is more durable and the cooking effect will be better.

It should be noted that after opening the stainless steel pot, you should avoid storing food for a long time to prevent food residue from corroding the pot body. At the same time, be careful not to use hard objects such as iron brushes to clean the pot during use to avoid scratching the pot body. If scratches or discoloration are found on the pot body, the pot should be replaced with a new one in time to ensure cooking results and food safety.
